The NewsSeeker User Interface
Navigation down the left handside, news headlines in the middle top and an embedded web browser at the bottom
Embedded Web Browser
NewsSeeker contains an embedded web browser complete with automatic feed detection
Navigation Pane
On the left of the main window is the navigation. Feeds can be categorised into folders, and you can also create smart feeds and an alphabetical listing
Headline Viewer
When you select an option from the navigation pane the headline viewer will automatically update to show you the latest headlines from that listing. Simply click on the headline to see the story associated with it
Smart Feeds
These are special types of categories that allow you to view headlines based on keywords, whether they have files associated with them, like Podcasts, unread, flagged, etc
Subscription Wizard
The Feed Subscription Wizard makes adding new RSS or Atom feeds simple.
Subscription Wizard
Subscribe to a new feed through feed:// protocol, subscribing manually, through Firefox or by using the embedded Web browser. The subscription wizard contains a live preview of the feed before actually subscribing
Ribbon Tab Toolbar
Based on that used in the Office 2007 range, and licensed from Microsoft, NewsSeeker contains a ribbon toolbar for ease of access to all the major functions
